What we collect
When you book an appointment, join the online notary waitlist, or contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, appointment location, document type, and any notes you choose to share about your notarization needs.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- Schedule, confirm, remind you about, and complete your appointment
- Contact you if an appointment needs to be rescheduled or cancelled
- Maintain the notary journal records required by Nevada law
- Process payment for services rendered
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Notarial records
Nevada law (NRS Chapter 240) requires notaries to keep a journal of notarial acts. Journal entries are confidential by law and are disclosed only as required by statute or court order. Copies of identification are never retained beyond what the law requires.
Documents you present
We do not keep copies of the documents we notarize. Documents remain in your possession at all times.
Email and reminders
Appointment confirmations and reminders are sent to the email address you provide at booking. These are service messages, not marketing; you will not receive promotional email from us.
Data security
Booking information is stored in an access-controlled system. Staff access is limited to the notary. We retain appointment records only as long as needed for business and legal record-keeping.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct or delete your contact information at any time by emailing hello@thebiggestlittlenotary.com. Note that Nevada law requires us to retain notary journal records for the statutory period, and those records cannot be deleted on request.
